Alexandre the Mouseketeer

OK, I must admit I had a LOT of fun creating this little mouse!

Alexandre is a rather dashing mouse I'm sure you'll agree.  He is named after his favourite author Alexandre Dumas and is a enormous fan of the Three Musketeers.

He has been created using Tissavel synthetic fabric with ultrasuede hands, boots, tail and ears.  His rotund figure has been firmly stuffed with polyfil and a bag of glass beads nestles in his tummy for added mousie weight.  He is fully jointed and has wire armature in his arms (including those nimble little fingers) legs/boots and tail.  He has black glass eyes with an embroidered nose and mouth and his whiskers are made from hand dyed horse hair.  His face, ears and hands have been lightly airbrush shaded and he has a fabric Arcas Designs tag sewn in down his back.

His musketeer (mouseketeer) costume comprises a dark green silk waistcoat, lined with lighter green silk (this can be reversed if he fancies a change of shade in the summer, lol); a leather belt with gold plated wire buckle; a leather back scabbard with gold plated wire buckle and an ultrasuede sheath; a black ultrasuede hat trimmed with ribbon and an olive green marabou feather.  His rather fearsome sword (not quite so fearsome in real life I assure you) is modelled out of fimo silver, gold and black polymer clay with a gold plated wire knuckle guard.

Alexandre measures approximately 4" when sat and just under 5" when standing.
