Beamer
Beamer is my first attempt at making an open-mouthed bear. He measures a little over 10" when sitting and 14.5" standing (which he's not designed to do).
He has been created from a sparse string-type mohair with an ultrasuede mouth and ultrasuede trapunto paw pads. He is filled with a combination of polyfil and plastic pellets and is fully locknut and bolt jointed (with a double neck joint), in addition his arms, legs and jaw have been wired for poseability. His high quality glass taxidermy eyes have been set directly into his head for a more natural look and have polymer clay sockets and lids made from faux suede. His pink tongue is molded polymer clay over a wire base which has been lacquered for a wet look, his nose is embroidered and waxed. Beamer's face has been scissor sculpted and hand shaded for definition. He's wearing a simple organza ribbon bow.
