Marty McFly

Marty is a larger than life blue bottle fly, Calliphora vicina. He has been created from a combination of ultrasuede fabrics with a satin thorax and abdomen. He has been stuffed with polyfill and his legs have been wired for poseability. His feet have tiny polymer clay claws and ultrasuede pads at the tips so that he can walk up walls etc (well, only in his dreams sadly). His eyes are also made from polymer clay coated with a matt varnish and have wired backs to enable secure attachment. The bristles are made from horsehair and have all been hand applied. Last but not least his all important wings have been created from artistic wire and have been coated with resin and strengthener for longevity.

Marty measures approximately 10cm from head to bottom, has a wing span of 17cm and stands 9cm high.
