Sula the Tarsier
Sula was a special request for an albino type tarsier featuring brown eyes. She has been created using Schulte synthetic fabric with ultrasuede hands, feet, tail, ears and muzzle. Her filling consists of polyfil with a bag of glass beads in her tummy for added weight. Her limbs, including those long thin fingers and toes, have been wired for poseability. She has high quality glass taxidermy eyes with waxed cotton cord representing the 'lids'. Her nose has been sculpted from polymer clay and her mouth from perle cotton thread.
She has been scissor sculpted and has light airbrush shading on her face, ears, hands and feet.
Sula's branch has been created from a cashmere sythetic fabric with ultrasuede 'wood' ends. The base is a combination of hand dyed dark green mohair and green ultrasuede. A strong wire frame with polyfil stuffing maintains the shape.
Sula measures approximately 4" in height (when sat). Her branch is just under 9.5" tall and the base measures approximately 7" by 5.5".
Sula is also accompanied by two leather bound books. I hand made these and they measure 3" by 2.25" across (when opened up they measure approximately 4.5" across). Both contain 14 blank pages.
